2077 is a year human history will never be forgot, it saw the advent of the neurosys (Neuro Systems Interface). The World Council brought forth a bill that every person has to have a neurosys. The implant not only replaces all ID it allows for fast and efficient fitting of cyber replacements; it also allows seamless access to the Net.

The neurosys interface offers three levels of connection to The Net, all of which can be disabled by the user. The biggest problem comes when someone is physically connected to The Net. During physical Net access the human consciousness is transferred into the Avatar, should the connection be prematurely broken the users body becomes a vegetable. The only reason you would need to physically connect is to gain greater control over your Avatar and access secure sites, secure points of access have been established.
Mid level access allows the user to visit none secure sites and access message boards and chat-rooms, called Ghost Access by some. The Avatar appears as a ghost. This Ghost Access allows users to tag along with the Avatar of those who physically connect; this is the only way a ghost can access secure sites.
Low level access, considered permanent access, it’s a basic sense of the users that informs them when something arrives in their virtual space.

Even though the permanent link to The Net can be interrupted it has been debated whether this disconnection is absolute or if it just removes the user from public view? The only people who have complete autonomy from The Net are the Blanks.
Many people have said the neurosys is an invasion of privacy but the convenience it adds to life is an acceptable exchange. It has replaced all data and monetary transactions which are carried out safely and securely through it. The Hyper Corporations say if you have nothing to hide then you have no reason to disagree with its use.

The question is still there, are we being subtly controlled through our neurosys, as all electronic transactions and our connections to The Net can be monitored. The neurosys Genetic Encryption offers some security as it cannot be accessed unless you create a key from another neurosys.
